Rainbow Rascals soft play and sensory space is built with inclusion at the heart of everything we do. We created this space to ensure every child feels welcomed, supported, and able to play, explore, and connect in a way that works for them. With a smaller capacity than many traditional soft plays, Rainbow Rascals offers a calmer and more relaxed environment for children who may become overwhelmed in busy or noisy spaces. There truly is something for everyone here. Our soft play area has been carefully designed to make play accessible for all. On the lower level, we have a variety of sensory panels so every child can engage and enjoy the experience regardless of ability or mobility. Children can explore bubble walls, infinity panels, touch pads, and interactive sensory features that encourage movement, curiosity, and sensory input through pushing, touching, spinning, and exploring. The whole space is designed to promote fun, confidence, and discovery through play. We also have a dedicated sensory space designed to provide a safe and calming experience for children who benefit from additional sensory support. This space includes fibre optic curtains, bubble walls, spinning chairs, little hideaways, and a variety of touch and visual sensory features to help children regulate, relax, and explore at their own pace. Our imaginative play area encourages creativity, role play, and social understanding through themed spaces including a doctor’s surgery, shop, superhero house, and salon. Each area includes supportive social stories to help children prepare for real-life experiences such as visiting the doctor or hairdresser. These stories explain what they may hear, what they may see, and what might happen during these visits, helping to build confidence, understanding, and emotional support that extends beyond the soft play setting and into everyday life. Alongside our play spaces, we also have a welcoming café serving hot and cold meals, drinks, and delicious cakes for families to enjoy together. We also offer a party space available to hire for celebrations and special occasions, with bookings available via email. Rainbow Rascals was built for everyone, a place where children can play freely, families can feel comfortable, and inclusion is not just considered but celebrated every single day.
